Original Blue Flowers -"Sweet Pea" 16 x 20"

Blue flowers are rare, but that's not why I remember these particular enough to paint an original.
 
"Hey, Sweet Pea!"  I can still hear my grandmother’s words call out when our 1960 Chevy Impala rolled into her driveway. I beamed a smile as she sang out the nickname, making my insides fizz like soda pop.
 
Better yet, was when my naïve, 6-year-old-self thought that the summer flowers blooming in her yard were named after her nickname for me: “Sweet Pea!”
 
Even today I laugh as the flowers in my grandmother's yard may have been Morning Glories. Either way ... Sweet Pea or Morning Glory ... it's nature at its finest ... and you can call them whatever fond memory you like!
